    Frequently Asked Questions:

    Where do I enter my candidate's Social Security number, address, date of birth, etc.?

    You don't! We collect all of the Personally Identifiable Information (PII) that is required from your candidate during the authorization process. All you need to input is your candidate's name and email address. 

    My candidate doesn't have a Social Security number. Can I still order a background check?

    Yes! Our system can process orders using either a Social Security number, tax id number, or ITIN. If your candidate does not have any of these, they can select "I don't have a SSN" during the authorization process. 

    What happens after I place my order?

    Once your order is placed, an authorization email is instantly sent to your candidate. Your candidate will input their Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and grant us permission (required by federal law) to process the background check. After your candidate has authorized the check, it begins running immediately. Once the background check has finished, we review it for any flags and then email you the completed report. 

    How long will it take before I receive the report?

    Most background checks finish running in 1-3 days. Some even complete in just a few hours. If a flag is found, we take a little more time to research the flag so that we can provide as much information to you about the incident.
